How old is too old?

Like a guy? Do you have some years between you? Well if you are a little bit older, in college or later you can have more then 4 years in between you, because the years are more alike and you are closer in your life goals as people four, five, or six years older then you. However if you are in high school or in extreme cases in middle school.
My advice for high school is: for freshman don't go higher then a senior, sophomores, same as freshman, you guys are just too young to up on that upper level and all that time apart while he is at college, juniors you can date up to a freshman in college, this is because once you hit your junior year you usually are pretty comfortable and can drive which always makes things better, Seniors considering next year you will be in college you can date a freshman or sophomore in college, maybe a junior, but it's debatable.
Middle schoolers, if you are in sixth or seventh grade date a guy either in your class or a year above, eighth grade you can date either a freshman or sophomore in high school.
Thing is girls you don't need to be dating a guy that is way older then you. For one there is no reason, and the relationship is always more complicated because there are always different schedules. Also  even if he makes an effort you are going to ruin his social life with his friends, because everyone knows  that not all the friends are going to accept you and throw him out. Which i understand i wouldn't want my best friend dating a guy 3 years younger then him. It will also totally ruin your social life, no matter how hard you try your going to separate yourself from your class and your friends then when you two get in a fight or break there will be no one to turn to or cry on.
It's just not good so don't do it, also don't go for a guy younger the same thing is going to happen either way.

5 Winter Dates

It is that time of year guys! Where the snow falls the fires are lit, the tree is up, and best of all the mistletoe is hung! I have 5 killer date ideas.

1. Movie Night- Picture this you and your bf/gf sitting watching a classic Christmas movie all snuggled up sharing a blanket when the big kiss comes (there is one in just about any movie these days!) You guys reenact that moment but probably a little more long. 
2. Night Drive- Find the streets that have the best lights around town then drive to all of them of course coffee or hot chocolate in hand. 
3. Day in the Snow- You can either go to a park, your backyard, or the mountains, for a day of white powder. You guys can build a adorable snowman have a awesome snow fight with of course will end with a  kiss, then come in and have delicious hot coco and maybe, just maybe some mistletoe action. 
4. Ice Skating- What is more romantic then skating (hopefully not a lot of falling, but that could always work in your advantage ;) if you know what i am thinking of) hand in hand everyone stopping and watching these two being so in love. And after of course going to get something warm to warm of your freezing body.
5. Make some Christmas Cookies- See if you can kick your mom out of the kitchen for a few hours and make some delicious cookies with your sweetie. Of course you guys will put frosting and batter on each others noses. And of course get the batter off of each others lips!

Having trouble finding the difference between friends and bf gf?

Can you not decide whether you and your best guy friends are more then that? I asked two guys what they thought on the subject Tyler & Ethan. These guys both had very different answers to my questions.
Tyler has a best girl friend and is very very close to her and does similar things that me and my close guy friend do.
Ethan has a girlfriend of 18 months and most of his friends are guys.
I will start off with Ethan.
Me: I think my really good guy friend likes me, but i don't know how to tell the difference or how a guys brain is wired?
Ethan: Well from my point of view, I would say if he texts you first..... That's not a big one though! Try to see if he glances your way a bunch! Or if he's like flirty and makes contact with you a lot! And if your like in a group of people and he tries talking to you more than anybody else! That's what I think!!
Me:Thanks. But i do have an example for you. He has a gf and she is visiting family in Texas so after mini golf on Saturday he was takin me home and he asked if he could put his arm around me cause he missed his gf, gave me his sweatshirt and was like totally into it. But it is confusing cause he had a gf!
Ethan: What kind of person is he? Cause right now he doesn't sound like a good a guy!?
Me: have known this guy since i was 4. But i have to admit he can be player. But he is like a sibling to me. I don't think he would ever hurt a girl on purpose. But you never know...
Ethan: Yeah, you would be surprised by some people, I think he might be working his way into becoming a cheater! I'm not saying to avoid him or anything, but if he tries doing stuff, you have to tell him to stop!! Cause like with me in a relationship I want other people to respect that I and Bri are dating! If he starts doing more than what friends would do then I would tell him to stop and remind him that he has a gf.
Now i personally thought that Ethan went a little bit extreme. Now here is Tyler's point of view.
Me: Hey, i really need some stupid boy advice.
Tyler: You came to the right person what do ya need?
Me: I think my best guy friend guy likes me.
Tyler: I need examples! (he laughs)

Me: Yea, that is the curveball.
Tyler: If her didn't have a girlfriend I would ask him, cause it never hurts to ask. Since he has a girlfriend though i would hold off.
Me: What should I do about the whole putting his arm around me and all that stuff?
Tyler: Friends are allowed to that! Stop worrying and go with the flow.
Now as you can see both of the guys had very different answers to my question. They have both had different experiences. Everyone's relationships are different ask a guy you are close to and knows your relationship with the bgf (best guy friend) if yours.

Is he more then bedazzled?

Is he a real guy or just a stud?
When he talks to you does he ask you about his day or about his awesome day with his buds. Does he say how beautiful you are or how beautiful he is? Can you see having a lasting relationship with his ugly personality or his flawless body.
My advice would be it is always fun to go out on a couple dates with a flawless bodied guy take some pics with him and post them on Facebook to make every other girl in your friends list jaws drop. But what I am trying to get at those are that those are just some dates not starting an actual relationship with him cause once you jump in with him there is not way of getting out.

Even Though You're Not Gonna Marry Them You Gotta Try

Are you debating on liking someone cause you know you are not going to marry them? Going out with people is so you can find the person you will find out who you will end up marrying. So what, your relationship could be 4 months 4 years or who knows forever, you never know how much you and that other person will click.

On the other hand if you like someone that doesn't want to go out with you because they aren't going to marry you, but you like them. You just got to tell them that so what you guys are going to break up but you got to live in the moment and not always think about forever. Cause Forever and Always is over rated. 

Grades Before Love.....

I want to take a little break from the crazy world of love and enter into the even crazier world of studies. No matter how hard you try you cannot escape the boar of studying for a test. So I have some tips on how to better your study habits.
 Move Before You Study

Maybe your mom or dad tells you to do your homework as soon as you get off the bus. Ask if you can shoot hoops or run for 15 or 20 minutes first. Explain that you're not trying to put off your work. It's just that exercising your body may help your brain.

Kids in a Chicago-area school do PE first if they're having problems with math or reading. They do much better on tests after they exercise. Moving before you do homework can help get your brain ready to study.

 Pick Your Study Spot

Your parents may have set up a great desk in a quiet room. But you feel better doing homework on the floor in the living room or in your bedroom. The important thing is to find a place where you'll pay attention.

Your bedroom might give you privacy. That's great if you have annoying brothers or sisters. But if you start looking at the stuff in your room instead of your math problems, find another place to work. It may even help kids study better when they do homework in different places, just to break up the routine.

 Listen to Music While You Study

When it's time to do your homework, your parents might want you to do it quietly. But you might want to listen to music. What's the best thing to do?

There's really no easy answer. Some kids study better with music because it helps them ignore other sounds around them. Other kids get so into the music that they forget about what they're supposed to be doing. Try it and see how you do. 

Just be sure to pick music that won't have you singing instead of paying attention to your homework. Save that music for when you take a break. Then get up and dance for five to 10 minutes.

 Take Breaks While You Study

Maybe your parents want you to sit and do your homework until it's done. But taking a short break might help you concentrate. When you work on something for a long time, you may start thinking about other things. You might start daydreaming about your soccer game or an upcoming party. Then your mind sure isn't on homework. 

So get up, do some jumping jacks or take a 10-minute walk. Then come back to your homework. You should be ready to focus again.

Don't know if you like him or not?

Do have mixed feeling towards a guy? Well i know there could be some reason so i'm gonna go by the different situations you could be in and explain what you should do.
The Player- Is there a guy that you like, and he likes you too, but his nickname in school is player? Even though he swears he has changed and that you are different always keep your eyes open. There is a saying that once a player always a player. There of course are times when he has actually changed for you because he really truly knows that you are the only girl for him. My advice however is you can say yes, but keep your eyes open.
The Best Friend- Do you and you best guy friend have chemistry? This is always one of the hardest things to deal with and one of the most awkward like like situations. I am actually in a situation right now. and the same questions i am asking myself are most likely the same questions you are asking yourself. When we break up will we still be friends, because i don't want to ruin that? That always depends on you two and how the relationship ends and how good of friends you really are, i cannot give you a absolute answer on that one. Would it be awkward?  Most likely not because you guys are best friends and it will be the same except you hold hands and kiss and that kind of stuff. My advice would be look at your friendship and say would we actually work.
The Ex- Do you have feeling for your ex? Well i am going to make this short and to the point if he is your ex then you guys didn't work out in the first place why would you go though it again? The only time i would say yes to this is if you guys went out like 3 years ago and it wasn't serious.
The Stranger- Do you like a guy that you don't know that well. Well if i were you i would ask him out, but get to know him a little better before you guys actually go out on a official date.

Do You not Know what to do on Your Friday Nights?

Do you have the fun friday night slum? Well i have a lot of different ideas to help you with that. Number one, for my high school readers, go to the football / volleyball game! Support your school. For my younger readers, go to the movie theater with some of your buds. And for all ages, have a movie night at your house wether it is by yourself or with buds. I am actually having my own movie night, I am watching a whole bunch of cheesy Halloween movies to get me in the season. I also have a movie planned for me and and of my friends. Of course there is always plan a slumber party, but try to think out of the box, just don't always do the same old same old.

5 Dates For Fall

1. Corn Maze- What is a better night then walking in a maze getting lost with a super cute guy, then after eating a snack and sitting by the bonfire?!?!? Corn maze is always my top pick for a fall date. Just let your min dander for a sec, you are walking with your boy in the corn maze purposely getting lost deeper and deeper asking each other random questions about their likes dislikes and life. Then suddenly you both stop look at each other and bam awesome lip lock times!!!! 
2. Pick a Pumpkin- Go to a pumpkin patch and get a pumpkin then go home to your or his house and carve it, if you are competitive get two then carve your best carve and see who is better. Also if you ain't afraid to get down and dirty with the pumpkin fight don't be afraid to start throughing pumpkin guts at your bf's face.
3. Park Date- Go out to a park, though this when they are at their prettiest ya know. Eat on a bench then walk around till you find the perfect tree sit under it talk or have a little bit of lip lock action! :)
4. Have a Movie Night- It is just now starting to get dark early and it is getting too cold to do things at night so why don't you just pack in on the couch with a bunch of junk food and watch your favorite movies. Ones you both like don't make him sit through a chick flick and he won't make you sit through a action movie. Get some comedies or some adventure movies. Snuggling+ laughing + kissing a little bit + eating yummy food = an awesome night. 
5. Wanna Learn How to Play Football?- Tell your boy that you wanna learn how to play his favorite sport, football, go out to a football field and have him teach you. Which of course will be better then you all are thinking right now. After go to a coffee shop and get something warm to revive those frozen fingers. 

He he your best guy friend or more?

Do you have a best guy friend? Well i do and the other day i went to drop him after a homecoming event and there was a spark. Later that night i was texting totally normal right? Then he said those words of Can i tell you something? Of course it scared the crap out me. Of course i say Yes of course you can, why wouldn't i? he then answers me saying when you were with me today i noticed how special you are to me. Then i am even more nervous that my best guy friend likes me so i answer What do you mean? Wanting an answer right away but of course he doesn't answer me for a little bit so i take a shower. The entire time i was wondering what i was going to do if he liked me, but i get out check my phone and he said as a best friend i don't know what i would do if you weren't. That got me to thinking though would we be cute together?
Have you had a similar experience or do you just have mixed signals? Well i really doubt that i can give you an exact answer it always depends on your friend. Of course you need to think about this really hard cause you guys are really close. And yet the best couples are the best friends since they were 4 years old!
You need to sit yourself down and think about you and him together. Ask yourself these questions: Would we look cute together? Would we fight a lot? Would he treat me good? Would we last? If we broke up would it ruin our friendship? Would it be awkward? AND MOST IMPORTANT! would we be the fun couple?
Also you need your bestie to do a little investigating what does he think about dating you does he think you two could ever be more then friends?
Of course if you think this is more then mixed signals and you really have feeling for him there is nothing less awkward then pretending you don't like your best friend tell him most likely either he has been holding it in or he will let you down super nice and you guys will go back to how you were before!

Don't have a blow out budget for a dress?

Can you not spend $150 on a dress? You are in good company! There are several ways you can get a dress for dang cheap.
Borrowing- This is a awesome way to get a dress without spending anything. Do you have a family member or older friend that has a to die for dress? Try it on, it is okay if the top is too big you can always have it altered for little money.
Thrift Shop- One of the best ways to get a good deal is to go a thrift shop. Most thrift shops don't always have the met perfect dresses, but they have good quality good priced dresses.
A rental- i am not talking about a $200 dress rental. In my town there is a little place in one of our churches called Tabitha's Closet. A whole bunch of people just donate dresses and tuxs there has to be over 150 dresses. It is super cheap only $10 for a rental for shoes, the dress, the jewelry and nail polish! What a deal! That is how i acquired a dress.
There are plenty of ways to find that dress for under $50! Now find your way and follow the path.

Didn't Get Asked to Homecoming?

Are you a loner and didn't get asked to homecoming? Well that it fine! What me and my best friend are doing are asking some HOT guys from a different school. You can do that, but you have to get a dance pass and take it to the other school, and your secretary can give you more info on that. Also just get together with some of your buds and go together. REMINDER: 50% of people ditch their date when they get there, so you will have plenty of company. It is fine if you don't get a date, still go to the dance though! It is always fun no matter what, and you never know you might meet your prince at the dance.

Peer Pressure

I am not talking about your friends pressuring you about drinking, smoking, drugs ect. I am talking about a friend pressuring you to like, talk, or go out with a guy. There are many different reasons your friend could be doing this.
1. The most common reason is because they want you to be happy
What do you do?
You just tell them you are happy, you will go for a guy you like.
2. Have you just gotten out of a relationship and they are trying to find you a rebound?
What do you do?
Just say to them "I am not ready." Don't let them pressure you into that situation. It only isn't good you, but for the guy.
3. Are they doing this so they can get "it" with the guys bud?
What to do?
That is just wrong, dump them off at the nearest desert! If the girl is pressuring you to date a guy just so she has an excuse to talk to the guy's bud then she has problems.
In any circumstances just tell them no, just like if they were asking any other thing of you, you shouldn't do it say NO!

Can't Help But Mess Up Around Your Crush?

No feeling makes you act more stupid then love. Maybe you don't love him, but any kind of special feeling toward another person is a kind of love. It can make you do the stupidest things. Like: running into another person in the hall because you can't take your eyes off them, Dumping food all over yourself in the cafeteria cause he looked at you, when ever you guys talk your words are slurred, you repeat yourself and the main topic of your conversation was elephants cause you couldn't say anything other than that because you were so nervous.
I have a few tips to make you a little less nervous around him.
Make a Game Plan
Have you and your best friend make a plan to what you are going to say, how your going to say it, body language, and facial expressions. This way when you have to talk to the cutie and the main subject won't be elephants.
Assign a Deadline 
There is no better way to make you less nervous is to just get the first conversation over with. Make a deal with one of your friends that you will talk to him by this date. If you are really ballsy make a bet if you don't you have to give up something.
Treat Him Like Your Bestie 
Treat him like a friend, not your knight in shining armor. Make jokes with him just stay cool, calm, and collected. Just like you are with your friends. The best and most successful couples act like each others best friends. You don't have to worry about messing up around your best friend and you can say the stupidest stuff in front of your best friend. You can do the same thing in front of your crush, because he is a normal person.

Trying to Get Over "That Guy"?

Is it because he is that guy you have liked since you were in 4th grade, was it because he was your first real boyfriend, or your first kiss?
Everyone has problems getting over the guy that was their first heartbreak. I have a couple of ideas to make that time shorter and less hard on the heart.
First off what a better way to not think about guys then to be surrounded by girls? Make a pact with your girls that it is a no boy night. Do a all out sleepover or go on the town and be happy, if he isn't on your mind he isn't weighing on your heart either.
My second idea is does everything you do remind you of the times when you were with him. Get a new look. I don't mean plastic surgery girls, i just mean maybe a haircut change the way you do your makeup wear different clothes then you usually do. The day i broke up with one of my boyfriends I had  hair cut, when it was done, I felt like I was a new me and he wasn't part of that me.
My last and most gutsy idea. Start talking to a new guy. It doesn't have to be you want a serious relationship, just talk and maybe grab a Starbucks. The easiest way to get over a guy is to find a new one right?

I have a couple of ideas.

1. Have a smooch with your bestie. have a best guy friend that hasn't had his first kiss? Well then just make an arrangement 1. One lip lock only, this is not going to be a make out session 2. This is just a practice run, it means nothing 3. No one can ever know, it is just between you two. 
2. I know this sounds cliche, but make your hand your hottie for a couple of minutes. 1. you can feel what your kiss is like and adjust it. 2. no one will see in your room, and trust me a lot of people use this method, it is one of the old school. 
3. Use a balloon! Just blow on up and draw a super cutie on it. If you are a bad drawer however glue or tape a cute celeb on it. 1. You can work on your angle and position because a balloon is a similar shape to a human head. 2. If you wear lipstick you can see where you left a mark and adjust. 3. Good way to get confidence, if you draw your cutie it is a good way to boost it!

11 Ways to Ask a Guy to a Dance

1. Have one of your friends give your crush a T-Shirt that has a bunch of girls names written in expo, but your name will be written in Sharpie. Have your friend tell the guy to wash it. When he washes it only your name will remain. 
2. Make him a mix tape about three to four songs in record your own voice asking him to the dance.  
3. Make up a game of Last Man standing in one of your classes (ask for teachers permission) make up questions that make him the last man standing, the last question you teacher would read would be If you want to ask guys name to a dance stand up. You stand up and ask him to the dance. 
4. FOR BALLSY GIRLS ONLY: put it on a billboard! if there is someone local that you know and is on his route to school ask them if you can put guys name will you go to name of dance with me -your name 
5. A class you have with your cutie that has a lot of power point presentations would be a perfect way to ask him. A couple of days before you know your teacher is join to give Powerpoint ask her or him if they would put a slide at the end that said guys name will you go to name of dance with me -your name

Make a Scavenger Hunt it could be around town, a park, a mall, or the school, make the clues easy, you don't want him to get stumped, and the prize is a sign the says go to the dance with me? when you know he is there come out behind a corner or a tree and wait for his answer which should be yes. 
8. Stuff his locker, Take something that won't take forever to pick up and put it in huge amounts in his locker, in it could be a not or write it on them that says will you go to the dance with me? Come up behind him and say "surprised?" of course he will be and of course say yes!
9. If your cutie loves animals use one! Write a cute use of words. Wrap a ribbon around it and tie it to the collar and let him find it 
10. Be a Secret Admirer! Slip a note into his locker that states: Your date, should you choose to accept it, will be with ________ at _________ (time) on ________ (day). You will be picked up by a person wearing ________. Your date will feel like he/she may self-destruct if you do not reply by ________. Make sure to keep your identity a secret! 
11. Make up a hole bunch of wanted posters post them around his house and his street, saying wanted for coming over to your name's house, when he shows up have wanted posters leading up to your door on your door it would say found a date for the dance? open your door and ask him.

Body Language

Your body language can tell a guy if your into him, don't like him, or just want to be friends. 

If you like him 
Sit by him as often as possible and make conversation. Listen to him attentively but act like you are distracted and smile at him often. When you see him doing something comment on it, never negative, but give him suggestions on how to make it better. When the cutie walks by your friends will most likely try to embarrass you, don't let them smile at him and wave. Eat clean and neat around him, you don't want him to think your a pig. When you guys get close don't be afraid to blush, guys think it's cute, don't be afraid to move away a little bit. While you are sitting look around but keep your legs and body pointed in his direction. Laugh & smile a lot, it is really obvious but oh well you want him to know you like him. Get a lot if inside jokes with him, this is one a conversation starter and two a good way to get close. Be near him whenever you can, not in a stalker-ish way but just to let him know you want to be close with him. Use your eyes, you know the old saying eyes are the window to the soul, use them to talk to him. Bite your bottom lip, not hard, just kind of slowly move your teeth over your bottom lip this draws attention to your lips and they guy usually thinks about kissing you. Twirl your hair, not often, but just enough to get his attention to you. Don't be afraid to put your hands on him, Lets say you and the other person are sitting next to each other, say a funny joke, while you guys are laughing, casually put your hand on this shoulder. 

If you don't him (want the conversation to end) 

Keep your answers and sentences short, this tells him that he isn't really interesting you. Get plenty of distance in between you, if he tries to move closer, move fairer away, this tells him that you don'y want to be close. If you see a friend or cutie walk by say you have to go meet up with him or her, one this makes him feel like you have better things to do then talk to him, two if you walk away with a cutie he gets ideas your taken. You can always just walk away with a lame excuse. 

If you just want to friends 

Don't dress up for him, if he is coming over just wear sweats, this tells him that you aren't tying to impress him. If your haning out in public flirt with other guys, this means you are still on the market and are looking to be taken off by someone that isn't him. Try to set him up with friends let him think you want him to be happy with someone other than you. Call him friend, buddy, or bro a lot, this lets him know you are seeing him as a friend and nothing more. Always keep a good amount of distance between you, remember though you guys are friends so you should be close, but not that close if you know what i mean. Get physical punch him on the arm or go play one on one and don't go easy on him, if you liked him you wouldn't punch him or go hard on him on a one on  one. Never let there be awkward silence, this gives you and him time to think and i promise you the first thing that is in the back of your minds is what if this friendship was something more, you don't want that so no silence. 

Haven't Talked in a While?

    Are you into a guy and think he is into you back? You guys are constantly texting and snap chatting and messaging each other online. Then suddenly it stops. No texts from him, when you text him first he seems annoyed and responds with one words answers and sometimes doesn't even reply at all. He opens the snap chat but never snaps you back.     There are a few reason that are almost always the reason. 1. He might be trying to figure out if likes you or just wants to be friends, this means that he could be thinking of you constantly but not knowing if he actually wants to date you or just be buds, handle this by texting him and saying hey dude, this means you don't care if you are friends or more than that you just want to be close to him. 3. He could of met another girl that he is really into and doesn't know to tell you, you handle this by just stop thinking about him, don't text snap or message him, focus your thoughts on another guy.

Long Distance Relationships

    Everyone always thinks long distance relationships can never work, is that really true? This is why i am  writing this post. I have done A LOT of research on the topic and here is what i found.
    I found that most long distance relationship take a lot if work, you can't exactly meet up every other weekend and have a McDonalds date. You instead have to schedule Skypes and a lot of phone conversations and airport time or getting to know your car better. This though can bring problems because a little fight phone on the phone could be monumentally bad for the relationship, you can't meet up at a town cafe and decide what happens you have to figure it out long distance. Also you can't talk over the phone with your body you have to use your words is all your conversations are "Cool", "Awesome", and "How is it up there?" Things will die down pretty fast. Long distance relationship are hard no matter how hard you try, but if the love is true and can go through the fire then it is a very strong love, stronger than most. At that i will leave you with two quotes.

Are guys diffrent in high school?

A common question hat people ask me is. Are boys different when they reach high school?
the answer is yes they do and no they don't they are the same boys since sixth grade. As boys reach high school they are influenced by upperclassmen and are taught how to be more mature also the thought in their mind of going into high school and older girls taunt them and they usually they want to look like a dork so they man up and most of the shananigans stop. They however can be the same old boys at times they will pull pranks, break hearts, and act like boys. Hope this answered your question!

Stuck in the Friend Zone?

The term "friend zone" is usually pointed towards boys, but girls can also be "friend zoned". Here are some tips to get out.
1. Tell him how you feel, guys like honesty.
2. Start hanging out one on one more often, see if sparks fly.

Summer love or Forever love?

Met a guy this summer? if you have here are some questions you need to ask yourself.
1. Can you see dating this guy once school starts? (you won't see each other as much)
